UNESCO World Heritage site Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, located in the Quang Binh province, is one of the two largest limestone deposit areas in the world. The karst landscape of the park was shaped over the course of 400 million years by slowly dissolving bedrock, creating a number of caves and grottoes.
